Pilot Training Schools in Chennai
In our aviation training institutes we offer not only pilot training course in Chennai but also other courses such as flight dispatch and ground handling, degree in aviation, air hostess training. The basic qualification to apply for pilot training at these institutes is successful completion of higher secondary with mathematics, physics and chemistry. The applicant should have above 17 years of age with good physical fitness and normal eyesight. A qualified applicant can obtain a private pilot license (PPL). To work for commercial airlines, one must apply for a commercial pilot license (CPL).
Procedure for pilot training course
Applying for a CPL involves considerable expenditure. It costs more than Rs 25 lakhs to complete both PPL and CPL. The cost of pilot training course in Chennai is cheaper in India compared to abroad. In order to obtain the PPL, one must have a minimum of 60 hours of flying experience including 20 hours of dual flying. Besides, there are theory papers on air regulations, navigation, aviation meterology, aircraft and engines and seamanship. Proficiency in English and other foreign languages is considered an added qualification. Selection to the PPL and CPL courses is based on the results of an entrance examination and aptitude tests in English, general knowledge, mathematics, physics and chemistry.
